Cookie’s Smothered Steak
Stove top
• 2#s Texas Heritage Round steak
• Salt and pepper
• Flour
• Oil
1 can Rotel for Swiss Steak
Stroganoff:  1 can beef broth, 1 large can sliced mushrooms, Beef Stroganoff mix and 8 oz of sour cream
Allow meat to come to room temperature. Cut beef in serving sized pieces. Salt and pepper, dredge in flour and brown quickly in a little oil. Top with 1 can of Rotel. Cover and simmer  for 1 hour. Serve with mashed potatoes.
For stroganoff: same method for browning . Add beef broth, cover and  simmer for 1 hour. Remove meat and add stroganoff mix, whisk to  incorporate. Add mushrooms and sour cream. Return meat to mixture and heat thru. Serve on a bed of egg noodles.
Hint: you can substitute Texas Heritage ground beef (round or chuck) for this recipe for Stroganoff.
Pinch off bite sized pieces of burger, brown in hot oil. Remove and follow the rest of the directions.
